> iSaath is a personalized, curated news aggregation platform for India and the world. It brings verified news, curated newsletters, live social updates, market insights, and AI-assisted tools into a single feed, tailored to each user's interests and available in eight Indian languages (English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada).

## What iSaath is

iSaath ("your companion" — *saath* means "together" / "with you") is a news and information app available on the web (as a Progressive Web App), Android, and iOS. It does not write most of its own news; it aggregates and summarizes content from trusted public sources and third-party providers, then personalizes it to the topics, language, and tone each reader prefers.

## Key features

- **Personalized feed**: Verified, summarized headlines selected around the user's chosen interests (e.g. AI, technology, business, finance, politics, sports, entertainment), refreshed throughout the day.
- **Verify (fact-check)**: An AI-assisted tool to check a claim, headline, or viral message against supporting sources, official statements, fact-checkers, and mainstream coverage.
- **Newsletters**: A curated directory of 50+ newsletters across regions and categories (finance, AI, tech, business, policy and more) that users can browse and save.
- **Market insights**: Fundamentals and data for Indian (NSE/BSE) and US stocks plus commodities, alongside an "ask anything" markets assistant. Informational only — not investment advice.
- **Social pulse**: A live view of updates from public profiles the user follows on X, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
- **Saathi chat**: A conversational AI assistant that answers questions in the user's language.
- **Event alerts**: User-defined topic monitors that notify them in-app when something new is published.
- **Emergency / SOS**: Quick access to emergency contacts and crisis helpline numbers.
